The New Hampshire Golf Course Cooperative announced its expansion from New Hampshire and Massachusetts into the remainder of the New England states.

“We’ve been in the business of sourcing and creating competitive pricing for over 10 years in the golf course industry and we feel it is time to expand our service offerings to more golf courses throughout New England,” said director of purchasing Steve Sears, who is based in New Boston, New Hampshire.

The NHGCC was organized in 2012 with the mission of providing products, pricing and favorable terms to the owners of golf courses. Sears has been involved in the industry for over 40 years and has overseen sales and technical training for manufacturers, distributors and end-users throughout his career.

“I spent most of my career directly involved in bidding and pricing for country clubs, municipal golf courses and golf course management companies including Troon and American Golf,” he said. “I have a very clear understanding of how privately owned golf courses have not experienced savings equal to those other segments of the golf course industry.”

The cooperative is not a manufacturer, distributor, dealer or broker. It negotiates pricing and extended terms for products that are manufactured by many industry leaders, including Envu, BASF, FMC, PBI-Gordon, Nutrite, Turf Care Supply, Aquatrols and others.

Manufacturers, distributors and dealers offer their best pricing, extended terms, and rebates for the upcoming year during the fourth quarter of each year.  “Most golf course owners are unaware of these purchasing incentives that over 12 cooperating suppliers to the NHGCC are offering,” Sears said.

The products are the same brands and products that golf courses have been purchasing for decades. The product lines managed by the NHGCC include fertilizers, grass seed and control products used by golf course superintendents in their annual agronomic programs.
